I did a recent experiment in urban planning, to test out the versatility of my nano-scale modular system using 12 baseplates to configure different types of city blocks.
With just a few adjustments of street tiles, I was able to try a few arrangements.
1. Standard 2 x 6 block
2. Square 3 x 3 block
3. Street centered 2 x 9 block
So, now that I have a good basic module, I will be updating this post with variations as I design them, including waterfront, river and hill variations.
To start, here are the two basic street variations.
At this scale, there really is no room for a sidewalk or people, but small vehicles could be represented with plates and tiles ranging from 1 x 1 to 1 x 2, and larger vehicles from 1 x 2 to 1 x 3. I will add vehicle examples to this post as well, just as soon as I can fill up a few modules of my own.
